BCSIR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FAIR CONCLUDED

Bangladesh Council of Science and Industry Research (BCSIR) organized the 3-day long BCSIR 'Science and Industry Technology Fair 2023' held at BCSIR's own campus Dhanmondi.
On March 14 at 3:30 pm, Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman. UGC Professor Dr. was present as a special guest. Hasina Khan, University of Dhaka.
Out of 100 stalls in the fair, 22 of 6th-8th class, 27 of 9th-10th class, 20 of 11th-12th class self-study / science club 9 selected projects including 4 to showcase the research and development activities of BCSIR, the activities of various organizations of the Ministry of Science and Technology and 5 to showcase services and 9 stalls of emerging local industrialists who have leased processes developed by BCSIR are exhibiting their products.
Notre Dame College, Vikarunnisa Noon School & College, Dhaka Residential Model College, Rajuk Uttara Model College, Shamsul Haque Khan School & College, Udayan School & College, Bir Shrestha Munsi Abdur Rauf Public College, Bir Shrestha Noor Mohd Public College, Ideal College, Savar Cantonment Public School and College, Ganabhaban Government High School, YW CA School and College, Motijheel Government Girls High School, Government Laboratory High School, BCSIR School and College, among other famous educational institutions of Dhaka exhibited their students' projects in the fair.
A quiz competition has been organized for the students in the fair. The final winner is determined by answering the written test and bar pressing questions. An opportunity to visit BCSIR's 'Mobile Laboratory Bus' is also provided.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place holders in the respective groups participating in the fair were given attractive prizes, crests and certificates. Certificates were also given to all the participants.
Chief guest at the opening ceremony - Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said that the aim and objective of this science fair organized by BCSIR is to popularize science and build a science-minded nation. BCSIR is doing research to make human life sustainable, comfortable and easy. BCSIR has started vibration now. Now creating a collaboration culture. Which is very necessary in research. Doing joint research with various universities, research institutes, private industrial institutes. As a result, an opportunity has been created to apply the combined talent. Hope that fusion of new researches will happen at BCSIR now.
Special guest - Professor Dr. Hasina Khan said, we have to be science minded. The philosophy of science must be retained. We will not think ourselves small. There is a difference between men and women in Japan. But in our country there is equality between men and women. We live in a secular state. Human skin color varies due to genetic reasons; But there is no difference in intelligence. We believe that the young generation participating in the fair will lead the country towards prosperity.
In the president's speech, Professor Dr. Md. Aftab Ali Sheikh said, we elders want to transfer science and knowledge among you. Hon'ble Prime Minister's promise - "Smart Bangladesh" will be built by you. Through this fair, you will emerge as a world-renowned scientist in the future by exchanging knowledge among students.
