No Covid-19 death, 243 cases recorded in 24hrs
At least 243 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00am today (August 28, 2022), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
No death from Covid-19 was reported during the period. Death toll from the disease remains 29,323.
The Covid-19 death rate at the moment is 1.46 percent. The current positivity rate is 4.74 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.64 percent.
With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,11,560 the release added. A total of 5,125 samples were tested across the country during this period.
At least 276 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,55,839 and the recovery rate at 97.23 percent, added the release.
