Daily Global Nation News: Heartiest tributes paid to the Brave Heroes, Brave Soldiers and Immortal Martyrs of India on the Platinum Jubilee year, 75th Aaniversary of the accession of the princely State of Hyderabad to India (Operation Polo). Today, on 13th September 2022, A Grand programme was organized by Satyagraha Research Foundation and various social organizations on the Platinum Jubilee Year, the 75th Aaniversary of the Merger of Hyderabad State with India. In which representatives of various social organizations, intellectuals and students participated. On this occasion, International Peace Ambassador cum Secretary General Satyagraha Research Foundation Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Advocate, Dr. Suresh Kumar Agrawal Chancellor Pragyan International University Jharkhand, Dr. Shahnawaz Ali, Dr. Amit Kumar Lohia, Senior advocate Shambhu Sharan Shukla, social activist Navidun Chaturvedi and Paschim Champaran Kala Manch convener Shaheen Parveen jointly said that the princely state of Hyderabad was Merged with India (Operation Polo) for the integrity and sovereignty of the Country. On this occasion, paying tribute to the brave Heroes, Immortal Martyrs and brave soldiers who participated in Operation Polo,they said that after 5 days of struggle with the efforts of the then Home Minister of the Government of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and our Indian brave soldiers, the princely state of Hyderabad India became a part of the republic. In view of the deteriorating situation in Hyderabad, it was decided by the Central Government to take Military action on Hyderabad. On 13 September 1948, the Indian Army started operations on Hyderabad. This action of the Indian Army was Named Operation Polo. At that time, Hyderabad had the largest Number of polo Grounds in the world at 17. That's why it was Named Operation Polo. The Indian Army was led by Major General JN Chowdhury. The Indian army had some trouble on the first and second day and then the army of the rival Nizam Osman Ali conceded defeat. The Hyderabad army laid down its arms in the struggle that lasted from 13 September to the evening of 17 September. Around 1373 Razakars were killed in the action which lasted for five days. 807 jawans of Hyderabad were also killed. Indian Army lost about 66 of its jawans while about 97 soldiers were injured. From this platform we pay our tributes to them.
